Commonwealth Bank chooses Capiotech for major analytical solution

MELBOURNE, Australia - October 29, 2002 - Capiotech, a leading services provider specialising in analytical solutions, today announced that the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) has awarded it the contract to develop the PRAS (Performance Reporting and Analysis System) solution.
 
Headquartered in Sydney the CBA is one of Australia's big four banks. It has a major presence in both retail and investment banking.
 
PRAS will be the CBA's framework for the generation of report packs for publication and printing. The initial application of PRAS will be to stream-line the generation of financial performance report packs.
 
The PRAS solution will have a web-based interface and will use components from two of Capiotech's partners, Hyperion and Alphablox. Hyperion's Essbase multi-dimensional database server and the Alphablox platform will both be used.
 
As part of the solution Capiotech will also be developing a Microsoft SQL ServerTM relational data warehouse and will use Java servlets (JSP) for the majority of the web-interface.
